SIZES & PORTIONS

What cake sizes do you sell?

Our round cakes range from 4inch right upto 16inch
Our Square cakes range from 6inch and upto 12inch 


How many slices are there per cake?

That depends on the size of slice that you want to serve. A Large Slice (220g) is your standard cake slice which is perfect if you are 

only serving cake and not other desserts (approx size: 2” x 1” x 4”) The Small Slice (110 g), it’s half of the large slice and is what you traditionally see served in birthday parties, weddings and special occasions (approx: 1” x 1” x 4”)


How many sponge layers are inside the cake?
Round cakes are based on 4 layers of sponge, 2 layers of buttercream and 1 layer of sweet filling ie Jam or Lemon Curd.
Square cakes are based on 3 layers of sponge, 1 layer of Buttercream and 1 layer of sweet filling ie Jam or Lemon Curd.

Our 6 inch cakes serve 10 large or 15 small.

Our 8" cakes serve 15 Large or 20 small slices.

Our 10" cakes serve 25 Large or 30 small slices.

Note: All above sizes are approxamate.

DIETARY INFORMATION

Are your cakes suitable for Vegetarians?

Yes, all of our cakes are suitable for vegetarians.


Are your cakes suitable for Vegans?
Unfortunatly we are not currenlty making Vegan cakes.


Do you do Dairy and Gluten-free cakes?

Yes, but please discuss with us if you or any of your guests are highly sensitive to either gluten based products or dairy free.

We can make cakes using gluten free flour and non dairy products, however, although we take great care when it comes to cross contamination ie thorough washing and rinsing of utensils and cake pans, I do prepare other gluten and dairy based products in my kitchen and therefore cannot guarantee them being 100% trace free.


Please be aware that although ingredients such as nuts can be removed from the cakes, they are still used in our kitchen so we cannot guarantee that any of our cakes are completely trace free of them.

Vanilla

Classic Vanilla sponge with a traditional home-made vanilla Buttercream with Strawberry or Raspberry Jam.

Lemon

lush lemon sponge with a zesty lemon Buttercream with or without Lemon Curd 

Chocolate

Rich chocolate sponge with a choice of home-made Buttercream filling from Cadburys Chocolate to Nutella flavour.

Red Velvet

Made using buttermilk this silky smooth red velvet sponge with a homemade sweetened creamcheese filling.

Carrot Cake

Moist Carrot cake with a smooth sweetend  creamcheese filling.

Stork Perfect for Baking (Branded)

INGREDIENTS: Vegetable Oils in varying proportions (70%) (Rapeseed, Palm1, Sunflower), Water, Salt (1.4%), Buttermilk (Milk), Preservative (Potassium Sorbate), Acid (Citric Acid), Emulsifier (Mono and Diglycerides of Fatty Acids), Flavourings, Vitamin A and D.

Dairy Free Stork Block (Branded)

INGREDIENTS: Vegetable Oils in varying proportions (75%) (Rapeseed, Palm1, Sunflower), Water, Salt (1.4%), Emulsifier (Mono and Diglycerides of Fatty Acids), Acid (Citric Acid), Vitamin A and D, Flavourings.

Block Butter Unsalted (Unbranded)

INGREDIENTS: Butter (Milk) Minimum 82% Milk fat.

Flour McDougalls supreme sponge  (Branded)

INGREDIENTS: Wheat Flour (with added Calcium, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin), Raising Agents (Monocalcium Phosphate, Sodium Bicarbonate).

Gluten Free Flour Doves Farm   (Branded)

INGREDIENTS: Flour Blend (Rice, Potato, Tapioca, Maize, Buckwheat), Raising Agent (Mono-Calcium Phosphate, Sodium Bicarbonate), Thickener (Xanthan Gum).

Dr Oetker Dairy Free Cocoa Powder   (Branded)

INGREDIENTS: Cocoa Powder, Acidity Regulators (Potassium Hydroxide, Potassium Carbonates).

Cocoa Powder (Unbranded)  

INGREDIENTS: Cocoa Powder (98 %), Acidity Regulator (Potassium Carbonates)

Raspberry Jam (Unbranded)  

INGREDIENTS: Glucose-Fructose Syrup, Raspberry Purée, Sugar, Raspberry, Citric Acid, Gelling Agent (Pectin), Acidity Regulator (Sodium Citrate).

Lemon Curd (Unbranded) 

INGREDIENTS: Glucose-Fructose Syrup, Sugar, Water, Lemon Juice from Concentrate (8%), Maize Starch, Palm Oil, Dried Egg, Rapeseed Oil, Citric Acid, Gelling Agent (Pectin), Acidity Regulator (Sodium Citrate), Lemon Oil, Colour (Carotenes), Antioxidant (Ascorbic Acid).
